Hi, my name is Eraka and I am a Swing Bob addict

This really caught my eye today. I love the sleek style, the exaggerated angle, and the intentional disconnection. The most awesome thing about this cut is that almost any face shape can wear it and subtle changes can be made to perfectly tailor it to a specific need. Goodness, I love these swing bobs. I have an idea about them and that is that they may become a new classic. Just like the white button down or black flats this cut seems to be moving into the 'timeless' realm. Another great attribute of this cut is that it is sooo versatile. You get the total ease of short hair and all of the security of longer hair. This is my hair addiction!

Flawless wedding day hair!

I love this look for a formal evening wedding. One thing that would make this better is if the dress had something to the top or a nice neck piece - she looks a little 'all skin' in that area.

So cute for naturally curl little ones!

I added this one because I think it is so cute for either an informal or out side event. Or maybe even a daytime wedding. I like the look because it isn't overly styled and contrived. I also think this is a good choice for brides who are traveling to a beachy destination wedding .... please, by all means take us with you!

This is a nice combination of elegance and fun. This could be for the bride or it is also a nice style for the mothers to wear. It is just soft and feminine.

I really like the idea behind this style. You could really tweak it up a bit by placing the twists/knots in different areas of interest around the head.

The News Is Out!

Have you noticed how much we are growing? Yep, busting right out at the seams. And so the only solution to this convenient problem is to tear down some drywall and take over the space next door. It was formerly a tanning salon but now it will serve as the more relaxing side of The Hair Affair, if you will ..... and I am sure you will! We plan to have more availability for lovely manicures and heavenly pedicures. We will also be extending some fun ideas such as packages for you to receive a total look. We all have lots of ideas and your input is essential! So tell us in a comment what you would like to see more of at The Hair Affair!

PROMOTION!!!!

***If you prebook your next appointment with your stylist you earn a chance to win $100 in spectacular service - you can use it for any service!

So why is prebooking important anyway?
Your stylist probably asks you if you would like to set up your next appointment a few weeks out - is she just trying to annoy you? No, really she is trying to help even more. See, she knows that if you prebook you will get the time you want and need not the last minute time that she has available for you. Sometimes its hard to play the schedule squeeze game. This also makes sure that you are leaving the perfect amount of time between cuts and colors. If you wait too long in between visits all of the lines are lost in you last hair cut and even though your stylist is a complete brain and can remember every hair on your head it is more difficult to achieve consistent results. Really.

Thinking about Fall

I was browsing around for hair color ideas and this one really struck me. I love that it is still highlighted but it isn't summer platinum. Most of us look more pulled together if we bring things back down a notch for the fall season. The highlights and the placement of this example are superb and uniquely tailored to the cut and the hair texture. This is not your run of the mill foil job at all. I would love to see this in beautiful copper tones and caramel tones with a nice chocolaty base.

Hair I just LOVE!

This is all just wonderful hair!
